The Supercritical CO2 Extraction Machine operates by first using a heating system and a high-pressure pump to raise the temperature and pressure of carbon dioxide above its critical values to achieve the supercritical state where it has the properties of both gas and liquid. Then, the raw material is placed in the extraction vessel and supercritical CO2 is pumped in. With its high diffusivity, it penetrates the material and dissolves the target compounds, and the solubility can be adjusted by varying pressure and temperature. After extraction, the mixture goes to the separation vessel where a change in pressure or temperature causes the dissolved compounds to precipitate out. The separated CO2 is recycled back to the extraction process via a recycling system that recompresses and cools it. The machine also has a control system with sensors to precisely regulate and monitor the temperature, pressure, and flow rate of CO2 for efficient and consistent operation.
