Product Description

High-temperature short-time sterilization is an important step in gelatin production. The concentrated gelatin liquid is pumped by the screw pump of the feed balance tank to the plate heat exchanger and preheated to 75℃ - 80℃. Then, through the steam ejector, the concentrated gelatin liquid is mixed with steam and instantaneously heated to the sterilization temperature (around 140℃). The concentrated gelatin liquid passes through the holding tube for about 4 - 6 seconds. It then enters the flash tank under a certain degree of vacuum through the throttling valve. At this time, the pressure of the gelatin solution suddenly drops, part of the water contained vaporizes, and the temperature instantaneously drops to 50 - 53℃. The sterilized gelatin solution is continuously drawn out by the screw pump at the bottom of the flash evaporator, which is an indispensable piece of equipment in the gelatin production process. The higher the concentration of the gelatin liquid before entering the gel extruder, the lower the operating energy consumption cost.
