Production Process

Production Stage Main Steps Details
Design Requirement Analysis Talk with clients to decide key parameters like tank use, stored medium, volume, design pressure and temperature.
Scheme Design Design tank structure per ASME standards, including shape (cylindrical, spherical), head type (elliptical, etc.), support type. Draw detailed design drawings.
Design Review Have internal and external experts review the design to meet ASME and client needs. Optimize and confirm it.
Material Procurement Material Selection Pick right materials like carbon steel or stainless steel and welding materials based on design and medium.
Supplier Evaluation & Procurement Assess suppliers, sign contracts, buy materials and get quality docs.
Manufacturing Prep Material Inspection Check materials' chem. comp., mech. props. (tensile, impact tests), surface (for cracks, etc.) to ensure they're okay.
Process Doc. Prep Make detailed manufacturing process steps with parameters and quality control for cutting, forming, welding, heat treatment (if needed).
Equipment & Tooling Prep Get cutting, rolling, punching, welding machines ready and debug. Also prepare tooling like welding positioners.
Manufacturing Cutting & Forming Cut materials into right shapes/sizes. Roll cylinder plates, make heads (elliptical, etc.) with stamping or spinning. Ensure accuracy and quality.
Welding ASME-certified welders weld following procedures. Do cylinder welding, head to cylinder, and nozzle welding. Control parameters. Check welds after.
Heat Treatment (if req.) For thick-wall or stress-prone tanks, do stress relief or other heat treatment. Heat, hold, cool to reduce stress and improve material.
Inspection Non-destructive Testing Use RT, UT, MT, PT to test welds and materials. Follow ASME standards. Evaluate results. Rework and retest if needed.
Pressure Testing Do hydrostatic or pneumatic test to check tank strength and sealing. Watch for leaks, deformation. Only pass tanks go on.
Surface Treatment & Assembly Surface Treatment Treat inner/outer surfaces. Polish, passivate inside for food/pharma. Coat for corrosion. Paint outside.
Assembly of Ancillary Equipment Put safety valves, gauges, etc. and supports, ladders on the tank. Ensure correct install and function. Calibrate safety valves, gauges.
Finished Product Inspection & Delivery Finished Product Inspection Check tank's look, ancillary equipment, markings. Ensure it meets ASME and client specs.
Packaging & Delivery Package the tank well. Deliver as per contract with quality docs and instructions.
